Furthermore the sharpness drops in video mode and it isn’t as easy to focus manually (even with magnification) as with other cameras. Sony seems reluctant to add more resolution and touch screen options to the rear monitor (you can use it to move the AF point but not much else). The rear monitor remains unchanged: the touchscreen is mainly for the AF settings, and it only tilts on 2 axes. The drop in resolution when working in video mode is still annoying however. Magnification is good (0.78x), the refresh rate goes up to 120Hz and the 23mm eyepoint makes it very useable when wearing glasses. The viewfinder has a splendid 5.76M dot OLED panel. The Canon EOS R and RP are the only models with a multi-angle screen as of now. I’m not a big fan of the minimalistic design (many buttons don’t have markings), but I suppose it’s just a question of getting used to it. As you can guess, the size and weight are considerable. Sony is finally on the right track.īuilt like a tank and wonderfully crafted, the SL was the first full-frame mirrorless camera designed for professionals and probably inspired Panasonic’s S models. Buttons and dials have also been improved, and while the overall menu system remains a bit cumbersome at first, there is lots of room for personalisation. It is still not my favourite but it is now closer in comfort to some of the other models mentioned on this list. The grip is larger which improves comfort when working with large lenses. The A7R IV and A9 II have the best design of all A7/A9 series cameras to date. However they are the largest and heaviest on this list: some won’t be bothered by this, others might look the other way. They are made for professionals and you perceive this as soon as you hold one in your hand (the rear buttons can be retro-illuminated too). The superb build quality, handling and button layout bring the design of these two cameras close to perfection. Button wise, I’ve come to like the controversial touch bar on the rear but I miss having an AF joystick. It is also the most intuitive camera to use (including the menu system). The shape is perfect and it feels better in the hand than any other model. They’re everything you could wish for from a mirrorless camera. There is decent room for customisation yet the default set-up doesn’t require many modifications. The controls are complete, precise, well positioned and easy to access. They are reasonably compact and have a comfortable grip. Note that all the models mentioned below are weather-sealed. In this first chapter I took into consideration the build quality, the ergonomics, the grip, the button layout and the customisation options. Discontinued models have also been left out. If you’re already acquainted with one or more of the brands, it might be easier to choose between them, but otherwise selection can be overwhelming. Leica followed a few years later but it was really between 20 that the segment took off, with Nikon, Canon, Panasonic and Sigma all hopping on the bandwagon, racing to grow their respective systems as quickly as possible.īecause of this, there is an awful lot of choice in the full-frame mirrorless range these days. The contents are still aacs encrypted, but they are not bus encrypted. because libredrive disables bus encryption, anydvd can read the contents of the disc without authenticating with the drive with an aacs certificate. Anydvd uses the online protection database, aka opd, to retrieve title keys for known titles for decryption.Īnydvd in combination with libredrive. This data, as mentioned already, is aacs encrypted and requires a title key to decrypt. Once authenticated they are able to bus decrypt the data coming back from the drive. Friendly drives work by using an aacs 1.0 certificate to authenticate with the drive in the same way they do for regular bluray. So no.Īnydvd works as coopervid said with friendly drives, which official drives like the pioneer are not. If it didn't have a key to decrypt it, it would generate a dump and the title wouldn't play at all. The assertion someone made earlier in this thread about makemkv not being able to decrypt tenet is nonsense. Makemkv has their own online key store that gets downloaded automatically when you scan a disc. The second thing libredrive does is disable the mkb revocation list.īecause the data being sent from the drive is still aacs encrypted, you need a title key to decrypt it. That data is still aacs encrypted, however. This stops the drive from encrypting the data being sent to the pc. Makemkv by itself uses libredrive to do a few things. The integration with AnyDVD for the busdecryption works with the free beta key and you don't have to purchase a makemkv licence. There is a possibility of integration Makemkv in the VLC player but then you need to purchase a Makemkv licence. And you can rip to ISO what can only be done using additional software with Makemkv. The big advantage of AnyDVD is that the disc appears to be completely unencrypted to all media players. Now AnyDVD can decrypt the data on the disc. ![]() Therefore AnyDVD will call the command line version of Makemkv and through that the busencryption between the drive and the computer is disabled. Now Makemkv has implemented a method to break the busencryption not only for LG "friendly drives" but also for LG "official drives" and "Pioneer drives". If this resolved AnyDVD and Makemkv have their own different method to decrypt the disc itself. AnyDVD can only access so called "friendly drives" (LG / ASUS) by aflaw in the firmware and uses a "backdoor" bypassing the busencryption which is an encrypted communication between the drive and the computer. With that said, the case is one of the best examples of engineering or case designs done right. The case is excellent for custom water-cooling but also has excellent airflow for air cooling as well. The Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL ROG is one of the best cases made even better in the form of more features, larger size, and a distinct color scheme. Lian Li cases have managed to make a name for themselves in the market, and they are excellent because of how good they listen to the community feedback and implement the feedback in the form of changes in their products throughout the lineup. However, if you are not concerned about your reset switch, you can always connect the RGB controls to that switch, and you are good to go. My only issue here is the RGB controller, which is hard to reach on its own. The in-line RGB controller is good to have, and you are getting a built-in handle, which can sustain up to 20 KGs. You are getting 200mm ARGB fans on the front, and the dust filters are removable, as well. The case is also great when you are talking about cable management. You are also getting an extra solid front-panel if you wish to switch things up, and the case gives you excellent support for both air and water-cooling. To start with, Cooler Master has done a great job with the overall build quality of this case. Now, the Cooler Master MasterCase H500 has based largely on the HAF (high airflow) cases that Cooler Master was once popular for, however, with a lot of modern touches here and there, which is always a nice thing. They have been a huge part of the market for some time now, and their cases are known throughout the history of PC gaming, so generally, I was not surprised when they decided to refresh their lineup. There is no denying that CoolerMaster is not new when it comes to excellent cases. The RGB controller is a bit awkward to reach.Last but not the least, accessing the front panel is a bit difficult. Another thing that made very little sense to me was how you are only getting a single USB Type-A port on the front panel. On the flip side, considering how this case is built for airflow, it can get loud when the fans crank up. You are also getting a front USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, so if you do have a USB device that you use a lot, having a front panel connector is always good to have. In addition to that, the one thing that I always love about be quiet! Cases are just how easy they are to build in, and that does not change here either, as this is one of the most user-friendly cases that I have had the pleasure to use.
